Frequently Asked Questions
At Brave Horse, nature is the classroom and every experience is designed to inspire growth, confidence, and connection. While our horses are still an important part of our work, we now integrate a variety of nature-based experiences - from quiet forest walks to sensory-friendly outdoor activities.
We specialize in creating a safe, welcoming space where participants can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Our programs are especially supportive for neurodivergent children and youth.
Hands-on learning at Brave Horse means participants actively engage in real-life, outdoor activities rather than sitting in a classroom. Whether it’s caring for an animal, working through a nature challenge, or building trust with a horse, you learn by doing.
This approach helps participants practice communication, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and teamwork in a way that feels natural, fun, and memorable.
Yes - while many of our programs take place on our quiet farm near Armstrong, B.C., we understand travel isn’t always possible. Depending on your needs, we can offer:
Remote coaching/mentorship sessions via phone or video call
Customized nature-based activities you can do at home or in your local area
Off-site workshops for schools, organizations, and community groups (within travel range)

Social Emotional Learning, or SEL, is the process of helping individuals understand and manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions. At Brave Horse, we use SEL to support personal growth, self-awareness, and confidence - helping clients thrive both with the horses and in everyday life.
